John Northwood   

John is an award winning agent and has been in the interiors industry for over 46 years and is very privileged to have worked with and dealt with some of the industries finest people and companies.

​Some of the companies he has been associated with over the years are U.S. carpet company Lees Mohawk, German manufacturing and fit out company Lindner and the UK's premier wallpaper company Cole & Son (wallpapers) Ltd where he represented the Swedish brands of Eco, Borastapeter and Mr Perswall digital wallpaper. While there, John was given the responsibility for the development of a new brand, SportsWalls, an online digital wallpaper concept that saw him negotiating license agreements with clubs from the football Premier League.



John has forged a career in sales and management since the age of 16 and was also a Director in partnership with his brother in a successful retail Bed business.

 

2013 saw John take a new direction in his career by becoming an independent agent providing sales, broker and management services to suppliers and manufacturers of interior design products.



In March 2017, John was awarded Best Sales Agent  2016/2017 by the British Interior Textiles Association, which he feels very proud and privileged to have received. In 2017/2018, John was runner up in the same category. John is also a registered agent with the MAA which serves as an accreditation of his position as a agent.

The agency represents quality fabric, wallpaper, furniture and flooring companies, providing agency services to Interior Designers, Architects, Specifiers, Show-home specialists and the Hotel and Hospitality sector.  

 

The agency are the sole UK national agents for Sandberg Wallpapers, and for East Anglia, South East, London and parts of the Home Counties, the agency has exclusive coverage for Art of the Loom fabrics and Benjamin Thornber & Sons. Westwood-Home and Firth Carpets are also in the portfolio of suppliers. The agency also manages UK sales for Stephanie Bouquet Ltd, a specialist company for handwoven bespoke luxury Rugs.
